Warning:  This post is not intended for guys who I knew in high school...or maybe even guys I know now.

Yesterday was April 11.  While that doesn't mean anything to you other than it was a Friday, this is Saturday, and you've loved to see one more day, it does mean something to me.  And Deanna.  On April 11, 1998, Deanna and I first started dating.  Granted, it was only for three months, then we broke up for about nine months before getting back together for the long haul minus three months.  But yesterday marked the beginning of what we have now and, God willing, what we'll have for a while.

Here is a list of cool things D and I have done together since we've been married.  At least, I think they're cool.  Note, this list does not include the small things we do everyday, like reading together, cooking, going on adventurous walks...

Served as mission leaders in Mexico for a summer.
Taught English and volunteered in Palestine.
Hiked up a mountain (or at least a very large hill) in Scotland.
Road-tripped through the U.S. and camped along the way.
Slept in a desert with some Bedouins.
Hiked on the Appalachian Trail.
Vacationed to the Coliseum and Rome.
Road some waves in the ocean.
Floated in the Dead Sea, swam in the Sea of Galilee
Snorkeled/scuba-dived in the Read Sea and slept on the beach.
Hiked in the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona
Camped outside Niagara Falls, then walked under it.
Snuck into Switzerland illegally.
Explored ancient Egypt.
Visited medieval castles in Europe.
Worked at a Christian bookstore in the Old City of Jerusalem.

What makes all these things listed above even better is that we did them together, just Deanna and me.

That's really it.  I'll try to post again soon.  But my track record shows it might be several months.  Sorry to the few people who read this.
