So time is really flying. It’s been a bit over two years since Deanna and I have been married, almost two years that we’ve been living in the arm pit of America, and the school year is over. I have one week of teacher in-service and that’s it until the middle of September. It really doesn’t seem like it was a year ago that Deanna and I were in Mexico for three months. Those were three of the best months I’ve spent on earth.
Anyway, I’m worried about being bored this summer, so I’ve devised a little challenge for myself. See, I’m a nerd (nothing new) and I like to keep track of the books that I read. I have this little journal with all the titles I’ve read. Let me restate that I’m a nerd. Anyway, last year I read something like 42 books in the year. This year I’m up to 3. See the disparity? I’ve just been busy with school, I guess. Anyway, my goal is to read 43 books this year, topping last year by one…I’d like to reach 50 but I don’t think I’m going to make it…I’m worried about 43. So this summer, during my 11 week vacation, I’m going to try to catch up and get something like 25 books read. I guess I’ll post what I read along the way so that I keep myself updating and give the two people still checking in something to read. I guess wish me luck, and here are the titles I’ve read this year so far…
